EatCloud
Every year, the world discards 2,500 million tonnes of food, while one in nine people go hungry. Born from the urgent need to rethink our global food systems, EatCloud is a triple-impact startup using artificial intelligence to build a smarter, more compassionate food supply chain.

Bridging surplus and scarcity with AI-powered food rescue
Headquartered in Colombia, where 9.7 million tonnes of food are wasted annually, even as 54% of households face food insecurity, EatCloud turns food surplus from corporations and retailers into sustenance for underserved communities across South America. It’s a vital bridge between surplus and scarcity.
EatCloud’s AI-powered platform redefines how food is rescued and redistributed. Using automated retailer interfaces and manual uploads via its web app, the system identifies which food items are at highest risk of being wasted. The platform’s AI then matches donations with the most appropriate recipients, considering factors such as location, volume, storage and consumption capacity, and the specific needs of each organisation. Every donation is quality-checked, tracked from source to recipient, and recorded in real time.
Rewriting the rules of food rescue
Companies using EatCloud gain access to full traceability and robust analytics that capture the economic, social, and environmental impact of every food rescue. These insights empower better decisions, turning business responsibility into measurable progress. From reducing financial losses to boosting ESG outcomes, EatCloud makes doing good good for business.
What makes EatCloud’s model truly different is how it decentralises and democratises access to food donations. While traditional systems rely on food banks as central hubs, EatCloud connects social organisations directly with producers, distributors, and points of sale. This leaner model streamlines logistics, extends shelf life, and maximises utilisation. Operating on a licensing model, EatCloud doesn’t profit from food but from making the entire system more equitable, efficient, and humane.
